I've been draggin' my happy little ass to rock concerts since the age of 13. Exactly how long ago that was will remain my secret, but suffice it to say, I've seen it all. Or so I thought. I mean, what could possibly top the "Dark Side of the Moon" tour by Pink Floyd? OZZFEST!!! That's what. I've never been this excited about a concert.

We (my 3 children, my niece and I) snatched up 5 tickets the minute they hit the market. It will be interesting to see my kids rocking out to the same music I love. My youngest son is almost 13. I can still recall how I felt at that age. I am definitely NOT your average mom. My mother would have never even CONSIDERED going to a rock concert, with or without me. I feel fortunate to be able to share the same musical tastes as my kids, and believe it or not, they have no problem being seen with "mom" at this concert.

I've been lovin' Ozzy for years, before I even heard the name Ozzy. I remember listening to Black Sabbath when I was a young teenager, but it wasn't until sometime in my 20's that I recall first hearing about Ozzy Osbourne. I've always been mesmerized by his voice and the music he makes. He somehow keeps rising.

OzzFest '98!!! Wow. The fact that Tool is one of the bands that will be performing makes my daughter crazy. "Tool" is her favoritest band. She thinks Maynard is a genius. I think she may be right. They rock, as well....as well as the other 14 or so bands that will be performing at OzzFest '98.

This year's Ozzfest will feature festival founder Ozzy Osbourne, along with Tool, Megadeth, Limp Bizkit, Sevendust, and Coal Chamber. The roster of second-stage performers includes Incubus, the Melvins, Snot, Ultraspank, Kilgore, Life Of Agony, System of a Down, and Monster Voodoo Machine. At each show, one of the second-stage bands will rotate into the opening slot on the main stage.

OzzFest '98 will be in Orlando on July 29, 1998. This is one event that bridges the rock between two generations. I wouldn't miss this to save my pathetic little life!!
