The band scene in Orlando has started to boom lately, with several local music festivals over the summer and the approaching Orlando Music Awards. If you've been looking for a chance to catch up on some of the major players, you need to make it down to the Go Lounge on:
OCTOBER 11th @ 2PM
The Go Local Festival will feature 16 (no, that's not a misprint) of
Orlando's most talented musicians, many of whom are nominated for awards in the Orlando Weekly's music awards. It takes a lot of time to see so many great acts, so the party will go until 2 in the morning. We'll have two stages set up. This means no long waits between bands - just a steady stream of great music. Of course it's not a festival without the three staples: food, beer, and merchandise, and you'll find plenty of each.
Here's the lineup (although not necessarily in this order - you'll just
have to get there early if you want to be sure to catch your favorites).
| Weedeater | Bughead |
| Joseph Martins | Blue Meridian |
| Nature Kids | Steve Burry |
| KOW | Obliterati |
| The Tarantulas | Van Gogh's Ear |
| Gargamel | Fluid |
| MT Minds | 8th Dimension Records |
| Umoja | The Slowly Rubbings |
