After eagerly trying to get my friends off their lazy asses to go see the Hate Bombs at Will's (on Mills), I left without them. They complained of hunger pains and said they would meet me there. So I left, and fretting I would miss the show, I arrived only to find that no one had played yet. That's when I was first introduced to The Eradicators.

This micro team of two hit the stage with vim and vigor. Greg Reinel, the guitarist, had all the look and feel of a sid-bowie-elvis reunion part, while Suzy Dozier - love the name, up there with Wolf Blitzer - had a mild mannered librarian-on-Prozac power drum session. They were very entertaining and truly good musicians. Their cutty, retro music had a rock-n-swing punky feel. I was surprised that this duo had accomplished such a tight sound in a short amount of time.

"We've been together for about six months now," Reinel told me.

Coming from bands like Psychos From Texas, these cats were laid back and had a good attitude about local Orlando sound. And after showing off our tattoos to one another, we closed the place down by watching their cohorts in crime, the Hate Bombs, "blow up" as usual. I found out that the next local Eradicating gig in the proverbial bag is May 22nd at the Junkyard.

With a quality cigar in one hand, Dozier reflected, "We'll most likely be playing some other venues prior, but we'll definitely be at the Junkyard then." Go see them or pay the price: Total Eradication!
