Ok, here's the thing: I had something ELSE in mind...like catching a guy on the Internet! This was last year, before the war stories of how awful the 'net is with pervs all over the place.

He came after me. Said he loved my website (the new love talk). I viewed it, as only girls can, as providence, amen. Innocence on the 'net. Strange medium, the 'net. And I was new to it.

Well, what's the best way to net over the net? Create Mr. Right in his image-god. (Sorry God if that makes you mad. I stand corrected down here in Deltona before my Mac and www. Plus I found the space reference in the Bible.)

Mr. e-mail pal sent me his resume and it was pretty stellar, a rocket scientist yet. And he said he was "drop dead gorgeous, tall, slim...with a birthday coming up." I, ever the dramatic artist, would paint him. You know, like those fabulous fashion fantasy pics advertising some perfume only SHE's painting him and it turns into, well...guess my imagination fanned my enthusiasm. I overreacted.

I read a book about how guys love to be told about how we'd love to paint 'em (I mean make a painting ABOUT them). On and on it goes. I shall not write another revealing word...

Suffice to say, I created this adorable creature that only Ezekiel could love, complete with crystal hat, a slipped halo of Saturn and a space craft superimposed over his fabulous (it wasn't) David-like body like he was some kind of mechanical man who hid behind a rocket (he does.) There's lots of double meaning. Ambiguity is my operative word. In my next life, I write trash novels.

Anyway, I heard about the upcoming Art and Technology Show at OMA, followed the rules, submitted 12 slides, and then Chairperson Lynn Finch called me, said she loved my work and particularly Ezekiel's Vision and asked if she could use it for their poster. I immediately agreed. So it's Poster Boy now at Orlando Museum's Art and Technology Show and I'm more grown up.
