Independent film, live bands, parties, and downtown Orlando come together for the 1997 Central Florida Film & Video Festival. Celebrating its fifteenth year, the festival is the soiree of Frameworks Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to exploring the realm of alternative media. The festival showcases over 130 independent films from around the world. We will be celebrating with a strong selection of new independent film and video work, visiting artists, and of course your favorite: parties, parties, and more parties.

That's right; one distinctive feature of the Central Florida Film & Video Festival is its ability to blend film with the arts. Each night we bring together live music, art exhibitions, and performances - a combination which has led to many memorable all-night creative jams in the past.
The Central Florida Film & Video Festival shows films of several categories in both film and video format: narrative, experimental, animation, documentary, music video and feature. Proud to be grassroots, we offer special entry fees for Florida filmmakers and devote a day to Florida films with special awards, this year presented by Russ Meyer; this is our annual Florida Filmmaker Showcase, a montage of the sunshine state's best independent films. We also are one of the few film festivals to provide critique sheets with constructive criticisms, as a service to all 697 entries.
Check out some film reviews.
Frameworks Alliance is excited to see the festival grow in fulfilling our mission: a sincere commitment to artists producing independent images - the film/video of our region - and the cultivation of an engaged audience. It is vital to the cultural development of any community to have the ability and resources to showcase artists who express their personal visions through film and video. Equally important is the existence of a developed audience that seeks out and celebrates these artistic voices.
